Duo Lift Expands with Linco-Precision Deal

In August 2025, Duo-Lift Manufacturing Co. of Columbus, NE., acquired Linco-Precision, a shortline dealership in El Paso, IL., marking its strategic entry into retail. Linco, long a top-tier customer of Duo Lift’s fertilizer equipment, was one of three businesses owned by Illinois-based Skip Klinefelter. The acquisition aligns with Duo Lift’s core business and expands its reach into direct sales and service.

Ben Hellbusch

Ben Hellbusch, who leads strategic direction, explained the move as a natural evolution: “We’ve been talking about a dealership for 20 years… Here in the last 6 months, an opportunity presented itself that gave us a chance to get into the dealership world.” The El Paso facility offers 31,000 square feet, overhead cranes, and a paint booth—features uncommon in traditional dealerships.

The acquisition also strengthens Busch Equipment Co., Duo Lift’s distribution arm, by enabling local assembly and reducing freight costs. David Hellbusch emphasized the value of vertical integration, noting that it allows the company to “see the sale all the way through to the end and get that opportunity to touch the end user.”

With deep industry relationships and a focus on fertilizer equipment, Duo Lift aims to make the El Paso location a walk-in hub for farm parts, repairs, and specialized service.
